Blue Chip FCU Remote Deposit Capture allows you to deposit your checks in just a few clicks of your cell phone. No more last minute trips to the branch or an ATM. Members will need to sign up for both online banking and our mobile banking app to use Remote Deposit Capture. Once the check image is captured and downloaded, you can expect your funds to be deposited in your account within 2 – 3 business days. Deposit up to $3,500 per day, per member. Get started today!

 

Remote Deposit Capture in 3 Easy Steps:

  1. Sign up for online banking and download our mobile app today. If you already have online banking and have downloaded our mobile app, you are ready to move onto step 2.
  2. In the mobile banking app, select “Deposit” from the bottom tabs menu and then select “New Mobile Deposit.”
  3. Take a picture of your check and then follow the steps shown on the mobile app to deposit your check. Be sure to endorse the back of your check, “For remote deposit at Blue Chip FCU.”

It’s as simple as 1, 2 & 3!

Tips for using Remote Deposit Capture:

  • Before logging into the Mobile Deposit app, close all other apps running in the background on your mobile phone.
  • Sign/Endorse the back of your check, and label it “For Remote Deposit at Blue Chip FCU.”
  • When prompted for the amount, carefully enter the check amount to ensure it matches the amount written on your check.
  • Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos.
  • Keep the check within the view finder on the camera screen when capturing your photos.
  • Try not to get too much of the areas surrounding the check.
  • Take the photos of your check in a well-lit area.
  • Place the check on solid dark background before taking the photo of it.
  • Keep your phone flat and steady above the check when taking your photos.
  • Hold the camera as square to the check as possible to reduce corner to corner skew.
  • Make sure that the entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit.
  • No shadows across the check
  • All four corners are visible
  • Check is not blurry
  • The MICR line (numbers on the bottom of your check) is readable.
